With Windows Phone 8 reportedly launching on October 29, the rumor mill has been working overtime lately. The latest Windows Phone 8 rumor comes courtesy of The Verge and concerns HTC. Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system is already considered a threat to the dominance of Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. It wont be long to welcome devices that might hit the markets with Microsoft’s impressive OS. The latest set of devices confirmed to feature the much anticipated Microsoft OS include HTC Accord and Samsung Ativ S.

Samsung at its IFA Berlin Unpacked event introduced their upcoming Ativ S smartphone. The phone will be available in the market by late October. Out of the all the features the biggest surprise is the thinness of the device; it is said to be 8.7 mm thick, which is almost as thin as Galaxy S3. In other words it can be the Galaxy S3 operating on Microsoft’s latest mobile OS. Samsung Ativ S features 137.2 x 70.5 x 8.7 mm, weighs 135 g, 4.8-inch 720 x 1280 pixels Super AMOLED screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 2, 16/32 GB storage options, 1 GB RAM, microSD support up to 32 GB, HSDPA 42 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 3.0, microUSB version 2.0, 8-megapixel camera capturing videos at 1080p, Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon dual-core 1.5 GHz, Adreno 225 and Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery.
