HTC Proto Re-Emerged In Some Leaked Retail Documents
News from The Droid Guy:

The rumored HTC Proto smartphone has been seen again in a couple of leaked retail documents and photos as the Desire X.  The device is allegedly going to take over HTC’s entry-level smartphone. Thus replacing the uniquely designed One V. When you look at the hardware and specifications, the Desire X isn’t going to break any set records, but the device looks spectacular for how much you’ll be paying for the device (that is, if they don’t up the price from what the One V currently is).

Here’s some of the specifications that you can expect to see on the new Desire X:

  • 4 inch WVGA (Super LCD)
  • 5-megapixel camera with Auto focus and LED Flash

  • 768MB RAM
  • MicroSD Slot
  • Dropbox 25GB for 2 years
  • 1650 mAh battery(removable)
  • Beats Audio
  • Android 4.0.4
  • Sense 4.1

U.S. executives, speaking at a variety of mobile conferences, have boldly shared Huawei’s vision to be a top 5 vendor in three years (they have two more to go to hit that mark). Before that happens, Huawei must also quell the U.S. government’s suspicion that the Shenzen company has economic espionage in mind.

Even beyond the pressure to gain the United States’ political confidence and enter lucrative business deals, Huawei isn’t in any shape yet to win over consumers.

Better handsets are a must
Huawei knows that it has a ways to go in the clutch U.S. market. Part of the fight is building better phones. Huawei’s U.S. handsets are typically low-end or midra…………… continues on CNET
