If the rumors are true, it would seem that HTC will be joining the octa-core bandwagon with a new range of Desire smartphones. These bright colored handsets are supposed to use MediaTek’s octa-core processor (announced last year).

The leaks indicate that handset specs include a 5-inch 720p display and an 8-megapixel camera. The phones will run Sense 5.5 on top of Android 4.3 and will have 1.5GB of RAM. It’s likely the handset is meant for the China market, so don’t get your hopes up for the other markets in Asia just yet.
